Arthur is very persistent. In our home we have a saying: You Heard It Here First. I’m predicting that Arthur will unlock the secret of poetry and his fish will be all right. ❤️!
How gracious, Jeffrey. So glad you are reading. Except for my letters and my truly amateur watercolors on my plain stationery, not watercolor paper, credit goes to French poet Jean-Pierre Siméon and his illustrator Olivier Tallec, whose beautiful work I studied.
I had to re-think the poem jumper analogy. I think it's odd with sweaters that are inside out or the wrong way around. Now I understand why those who don't like poetry, don't like poetry. I better start looking at the jumper situation with renewed energy.
Well it definitely got me re-evaluating the non poetry lovers which is not to confuse with those who don't understand it. Very good thinking. I cannot get the image out of my head!
Grandma smiling when she thinks too hard!? A poem is an inside out sweater making life new again?! This keeps getting more and more delightful with every post.
The credit goes almost totally to the poet who wrote the book that inspired my little project to help a child I love and me too in the process: Thank you, Jean Pierre Siméon--and you the remarkable Kimberly Warner.
Mary these are very good watercolors. You can't "control" watercolor and it takes a special sort of personality to take advantage. You have a watercolor personality, if I may be so bold : )
Mary! Always a beautiful way to start my day. It is as if you are sending me directions, how to make a road map of the day and make it into a poem before bedtime.
I am going to order the book for my niece, but not until you are finished with this series. It is much more fun to enjoy, Arthur, with and through , you. Of course I will enjoy reading it before wrapping and sending it off. Wouldn’t it be amazing if one child becomes a poet! Changing the world , one poem at a time. It’s possible, right?
Now I am wondering If I smile when I think too hard? And of course... about the stitching on the inside of my jumpers!
"A poem turns words around, upside down, and suddenly, the world is new."
I believe Arthur could be finding poems for the rest of his life!
Holidays at last here... All love Mary xx
So do I, Susie. And your smile would make me smile, as I hope this did!

We'll see, Raphael. Arthur is getting so much contact--he's connecting!
Such a lovely way of looking at poetry 💕
Wonderful book. Thanks so for reading! and dealing with my amateur watercolors/
They're perfect, and I couldn't even draw a stick figure! :)
What is the relationship between Savta and Bodhisattva?
One could only hope.
:) ❤️

the world is new."
Magical, Mary!

I think grandma's answer is one of my favourites 🧡 🙏 xx
Mine too, brilliant Veronika!

Wasn't that thought about the sweater inside out grand? I so agree with you, So Elite--and the thought had to come from a poet, of course!

Me either!

Grandma's definition is why we need (especially today) poets instead of liars. Love it, and love these drawings!
I so agree, Del, my love.
P.S. Has Savta finally appeared in the pictures?? I like to think so.
In spirit and amateur watercolors, this Savta is truly there!

Oh, Richard, your comments transport me and give me courage. Blessings.

To these adorable and lovely replies, I say me Four! What words, Lor! You are a treasure!
Such a beautiful reply, Lor. I'm adopting it, and saying, Me TOO!
Me three!
Thanks Joanie! I guess we are all poets, we just have to pay attention to all those little signs.
That's the point of all this summed up by you, Lor--even though there's more to come!
